Another Luna Project: The Fun Toy Awards.
Learning from other organisations’ projects may generate a spark of inspiration. And enable you to gain visibility, a competitive edge or both. Moreover: by reading about our projects you will get to know us better. Killing two birds with one stone, as a matter of fact. Or to put it in the language of business : a win-win situation. We hereby introduce you to a recent project of ours: The Fun Awards.
What should an organisation do to make the news? Launching an Award is a good way ! Luna advised leisure goods retail chain Fun to create the brand new Toy Awards. But I hear you: those are not new, now are they? And you are right. But while the existing award prizes are handed by vendors and retailers, here, the Fun Awards, are selected by a jury of genuine experts, i.e. kids and their parents. Yes, you heard us right. The awards are chosen by and for the target audience. And that is the pure power of our concept: complete objectivity.
Fun went ahead and organised a genuine ’Big Toy Test’ at an attractive location (Boudewijnpark, Bruges) with a smart rating system for invited guests – the kids and their parents. And supervised by the all-seeing eyes of journalists, of course. A few days later we held a news conference to officially present the Awards to the public.
Fun and Luna jointly created, designed and worked out this innovative concept in four weeks’ time – and we are very proud of the results.
