Luna embraces the social media

They can no longer be ignored. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media have inched their way into the life of companies. A great deal has been written about the added value of these new information channels. Some say this is no more than a passing fashion, a pure waste of time and a gadget for ‘geeks’. But others believe that they are essential, even in the professional world. At Luna, we are convinced that social media have a great future ahead of them.

The social media have become communication channels in their own right. Today, they already provide added value in your communication mix, whether we are talking B2C or B2B. Communication aims to establish contacts with your target public through articles in the traditional press or specialised publications, or through audiovisual coverage on radio and television. These media are still popular. However, more and more consumers are also turning to online information channels. So these channels cannot be ignored and should be harnessed to increase your online visibility and to start a conversation with your target groups.

As a communication agency, we have been using social media for some time now. They are an effective way of informing journalists and people interested in what is happening in the world of our clients. Since late 2009, we have again been working hard on our external communication. Our newsletter ‘Luna Satellite’ is now delivered regularly to your electronic mailboxes. As of now, the newsletter will be extended on Twitter and LinkedIn.

Follow us on Twitter (@Luna_PR) and become a member of our Linkedin group. We will keep you updated through brief news on Luna, and we will try to keep you abreast of the ins and outs of the Belgian media landscape. Please feel free to interact with us!
