Luna is now recognised as a service for 'kmo-portefeuille'

If your company has an office on Flemish territory, we have good news for your ‘communication’ budget. Luna has now been recognised as a ‘kmo-portefeuille’ (KMO stands for ‘SME’ in English) service by the Flemish government. This means that if you ask Luna for advice on strategy or entrepreneurship at international level, you will be able to make a request for a grant.

The ‘kmo-portefeuille’ scheme was set up by the Flemish government in 2009 to replace the BA (Budget voor Economisch Advies - Budget for economic advice). Freelance workers and SMEs can make a request for grants for training, evaluations and advice and only pay half the cost of the projects. The ‘kmo-portefeuille’ is based on five pillars: training, advice, technological exploration, advice on doing business abroad, and strategic advice. These grants may be awarded to all freelancers, SMEs, companies and the liberal professions (so not non-profit associations or big businesses) that have an acceptable main activity and an office located in the Flemish Region. This office should be activated via a typical Belgian 'ondernemingsloket' (a one stop shop for setting up a business). The associated costs come to 135€.

The grant total is fixed according to the aid rates and the ceiling for each pillar. You will find below the exact totals:

You can now benefit from our strategic advice and advice on doing business abroad for half the cost. This advice should include three parts: an analysis of the challenges you face, the recommendation itself, and an implementation plan. For example: a plan on promoting a subsidiary abroad (did you know that we also take care of PR abroad?); a communication plan; a plan for the launch of a new service/product; etc. In short, all of the communication activities where we can provide you with advice.

The site www.vlaanderen.be presents all the advantages and ways of using the ‘kmo-portefeuille’. To make a request for a grant, visit www.kmo-portefeuille.be.
Be sure to take advantage!
